Southeast Michigan Veterans Home Groundbreaking

Today, the old Sebille Manor property welcomed many new faces since being closed over a decade ago.  Chesterfield Township was proud to welcome many Federal, State, County, and Local Leaders, members of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, SANG Base and Veterans for the groundbreaking ceremony on the newest Veterans Facility to be built in over 100 years. The new Southeast Michigan Veterans Home will house 128 residents and is expected to begin construction next year. We are excited to welcome this new facility to our Township and are proud that some of our greatest hero’s will soon call Chesterfield Township home. More information about this new facility can be viewed on the Michigan Department of Veterans Affairs site or in the Township Spotlight section of our website.
