Accounting & Human Resources - More Info The Accounting/Human Resources Department
is a combination department responsible for a variety of important functions.
The Accounting Department is responsible for the management of the Township’s
accounting system and its obligation of financial reporting. The Township Board
approves the bi-monthly account payable bill run, which is then processed by this
department. The Human Resources division is responsible for weekly payroll processing
for approximately 210 full and part-time employees and implements all employee
benefit systems pursuant to their respective collective bargaining agreement.
Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reporting W-2’s, 1099’s,
General Fund Pension, and all other payroll deductions and distributions.

Resources Department currently has 6 full time employees. Their positions and
duties are as follows: Finance Director and Assistant Finance Director
– Oversees the Accounting Department staff and their functions. Assists and
contributes to the Township Budget, prepares financial reports for audit. Human
Resources Director – Oversees all employee benefit systems pursuant to their
respective collective bargaining agreement. General Fund Pension and all other
payroll deductions and distributions. Three Clerical support staff
– The clerical support staff’s duties include, but are not limited to, processing
accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee deduction/benefit controls,
bond distribution and maintenance of all files for auditing purposes. |
