Senior Transportation
Chesterfield Senior Transportation Service is
available to senior citizens (55 years of age and
older) and disabled persons that are residents of
Chesterfield Monday through Friday from 8:00am until
4:00pm. Limited Saturday service is available on a
first come first served basis. Effective 05-01-11,
the service has been expanded to include Tuesday and
Thursday. The service area boundaries are I-69 to
the north, 16 Mile Road to the south, Lake St. Clair
to the east and M-53 to the west. Travel must be
scheduled at least 3 days in advance and is
available on a first come, first served basis.
Transportation reservations are taken up to four
months in advance. Seating is limited. To schedule
transportation call 586-749-7713. Note: The
dispatcher will answer Richmond Lenox EMS. There is
no cost for this service. A donation is suggested.
This program is funded totally with SMART revenues.
SMART has developed a North Macomb Community
Transit service. This program is a curb to curb
advance reservation service open to the general
public. It operates Monday through Friday from 5:45
AM until 7:00 PM. The route will take passengers
anywhere in Macomb County north of Hall Road and to
the following selected locations south of Hall Road:
Henry Ford Hospital West & East, Mount Clemens
Regional Medical Center, Lakeside Center, Macomb
Community College Center Campus and the Macomb
County Service Center including the Verkuilen
Building. A one way fare for senior citizens is
$1.00. Flyers about the service are available at the
Chesterfield Township Senior Center.
