Parks & Recreation – Assistant Director

Chesterfield Township is searching for a Parks & Recreation Assistant Director. This position is responsible for assisting with the planning, management and evaluation of all Parks & Recreation programs and services; assists in creating and maintaining department policies, procedures and priorities to ensure efficient and effective Parks & Recreation operations; supervises a staff of full time, seasonal, and temporary employees and volunteers; functions as the Director, as necessary.

Township Engineer

Chesterfield Township is searching for a full-time Township Engineer. This position is responsible for providing a broad range of professional engineering services in the areas of building construction, new development, planning, zoning, and heavy civil infrastructure; ensures good engineering practices and protocols are used; reviews and investigates problem resolution to design and construction projects and implement best practice solutions; fulfills related duties as assigned.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and the possession of a current Professional Engineer license from the State of Michigan, along with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing wastewater services and/or civil engineering projects.

Election Inspector

Chesterfield Township is looking for Election Inspectors for the upcoming elections in 2018. Computer skills and/or experience with Electronic Poll Books are welcome but not required. Must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan. Rate of pay is $144.00 for the day, with an additional $20.00 for attending training sessions. Hours would be from 6:00am until the election results are tallied after 8:00pm.
