Township Board Meeting Minutes - April 4, 2011

Proposed  MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING
OF
THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF CHESTERFIELD
April 4, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lovelock at 7:00 p.m. in the Charter Township of Chesterfield Municipal Offices at 47275 Sugarbush, Chesterfield, MI 48047.

Present:                       Supervisor Lovelock, Clerk Uglis, Treasurer Hartman

                                    Trustees: Bell, DeMuynck, Ficht, Printz

Also Present:               Deputy Clerk Wurmlinger, Township Attorney Seibert

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance by Ms. Kathy Jacques, a volunteer with Turning Point Inc.

 

Ms. Kathy Jacques from Turning Point Inc. gave a statistical overview of sexual assaults in Macomb County and Chesterfield Township. She also highlighted the educational focus of Turning Point specifically to junior and senior high students. Like herself, there are several volunteers who assist Turning Point who live in Chesterfield Township. She then presented small green ribbons to Township Board members, the Deputy Clerk and Township Attorney and asked that they wear them to remind people that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

 

Motion by Uglis, seconded by Ficht to approve the: 4A) Agenda with an addendum and removing the closed session item and placing that as item A under the Regular Agenda. 4B) Approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of March 21, 2011.  4C) Approve the Payment of Bills as submitted by the Finance Department. 4D) Approve the revised site plan from Kroger’s to temporarily erect a 20’ x 40’ tent at 35000 23 Mile Rd, Chesterfield, MI 48047 to sell garden and patio related merchandise from April 24, 2011 through July 4, 2011.

Ayes: All

Nays: None                                                  MOTION CARRIED

 

Motion by Lovelock, seconded by DeMuynck to accept the Consent Judgment in case No. 11-235-CZ Chesterfield Township v Atlantic Homes.

Roll Call:

Ayes: Lovelock, DeMuynck, Ficht, Hartman, Uglis, Bell, Printz

Nays: None                                                  MOTION CARRIED

 

 

 

Motion by Lovelock, seconded by DeMuynck authorizing the Township Attorney to begin the necessary legal action to have the owner of the Heatherwoods development property remove the abandoned concrete storm sewer pipe sections.

Ayes: Lovelock, DeMuynck, Ficht, Bell, Printz, Hartman, Uglis

Nays: None                                                  MOTION CARRIED

 

 

 

Joe Miller and JoAnn DeLisle addressed the Board during Public Comments.

 

Motion by Lovelock, seconded by DeMuynck to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 P.M.
