Proposed  MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING

OF

THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF CHESTERFIELD

February 1, 2010

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lovelock at 7:00 p.m. in the Charter Township of Chesterfield Municipal Offices at 47275 Sugarbush, Chesterfield, MI 48047.

Present:               Supervisor Lovelock, Clerk Uglis, Treasurer Hartman

Trustees: Bell, DeMuynck, Ficht, Printz            

Also Present:         Deputy Clerk Wurmlinger, Township Attorney Seibert                             

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Cub Scout Pack #372, Webelos 1.

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Motion by Uglis, seconded by DeMuynck to approve the: 4A) Agenda as submitted. 4B) Approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of January 19, 2010. 4C) Approve the Payment of Bills as submitted by the Finance Department with the addition of payment to the Macomb County Public Works Department for sewer treatment in the amount of $239,991.13 for a period from November 30, 2009 through December 31, 2009. 4D) Approve the Police Department’s request to renew Priority Dispatch, a quick reference guide for medical emergencies, maintenance agreement at a total cost of $2,421.00.

Motion by Printz, seconded by Ficht to open the Public Hearing at 7:04 P.M.

Ayes: All

Nays: None MOTION CARRIED

Motion by Printz, seconded by DeMuynck to close the Public Hearing at 7:09 P.M.

Motion by Uglis, seconded by DeMuynck to allocate funds from the 2010 Community Development Block Grant as follows:

  • Auvase Creek Senior Bridge Project-$71,950.00

  • Reprogram unused 2009 funds from the Senior Center Parking Lot Repaving Project to the Auvase Creek Senior Bridge Project-$50,250.00

  • Senior Programming-$3,000.00

  • Fund Administration-$2,000.00

  • Turning Point Inc.-$1,900.00

  • Care House-$2,500.00

  • MCREST-$1,000.00

  • Macomb County Warming Center-$1,000.00

  • Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan-$500.00

  • Good Shepherd Coalition-$300.00

  • CARE-$1,000.00

Ayes: All

Nays: None MOTION CARRIED

Motion by DeMuynck, seconded by Ficht to approve the Police Department’s request to purchase 34 Ballistic Vests at a total cost of $21,454.00 with matching funds to come back to the township.

Ayes: All

Nays: None MOTION CARRIED

 

Motion by Lovelock, seconded by Bell to approve the Police Department’s request to purchase and outfit four patrol cars and one traffic car at a total cost of $144,895.00.

Ayes: All

Nays: None MOTION CARRIED

 

 

No one addressed the Township Board during Public Comment.
