Chesterfield Township is searching for an Assessing Assistant.  Under direction, performs typing and general clerical work following established procedures or specific instruction; may perform the following tasks depending upon the assigned department: types memos, letters, forms, envelopes, cards, receipts, permits and other correspondence; files records and reports; posts information; sorts and distributes mail; and answers telephone; performs various clerical support duties; operates standard office equipment such as typewriters, personal computers, word processors, facsimile machines, copiers, calculators and adding machines; performs related duties as assigned.

Appraiser III

Chesterfield Township is searching for a Township Appraiser III.  Under the general supervision of the Township Assessor, this position is responsible for performing real and property appraisal on complex residential and condominium properties; appraisal on commercial and industrial real property; personal property reporting; monitoring the Small Business Exemptions and Eligible Manufacturing Personal Property (EMPP) reporting; fulfills other duties as assigned.

Firefighter

Chesterfield Township is searching for a full time Firefighter. This position is responsible for minimizing fire damage by responding to alarms; driving and operating equipment; regulating water pressure; combating and extinguishing fires; rescuing and reviving people. This position also assists in training and public relations activities, conducts station tours for the public, school groups, and community organizations, performing skills demonstrations, presenting safety programs and preparing citizens to prevent fire damage by developing and conducting educational and training programs. This position also requires working effectively with other local government agencies, emergency service providers, and the general public.

Job Requirements are as follows:
Unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License
MFFTC, Fire Fighter II Certification
State of Michigan Paramedic License
AHA BLS-HP
AHA ACLS
MFFTC HAZMAT Awareness and Operations Certification
